Ballistic Machinist (formerly known as Tactical G-Code) has been designing, machining and testing all kinds of unusual shotgun slugs. You might have seen some of his designs on his YouTube channel or TAOFLEDERMAUS channel. Recently, he announced that he will start selling some of the most successful slug designs.
Ballistic Machinist’s first product is the slug shown in the above image. It is called Brass Pellet. It is a sort of scaled up air gun pellet style 12 gauge slug with egg-shaped four cuts in the nose. This slug is CNC machined out of solid piece of 360 brass. The Brass Pellet slug weighs 389 gr (about 7/8 oz). When loaded in 2 3/4″ shells it produces 1670 fps of muzzle velocity and 2400 ft/lb of muzzle energy.
