The United States is looking to create proxy forces in Syria it claims will “protect the oil fields from ISIS.” But this is not the first time the United States has pursued this strategy. Plus, Germany is attempting to mediate a dispute between Turkey and Greece over rights to drill for oil and natural gas in the Mediterranean Sea.
