Ida hits New York City as Mayor calls for change in ‘whole new world’

Mayor of New York, Bill de Blasio, says that the remnants of storm Ida hit the US highlights the urgency need with which climate change must be tackled by funding for resilient infrastructure.

He said in a press conference with other officials that the estimates for rainfall would be took over within the short period of time and that it would be best to expect an emergency state more often even if ends up being wrong.
