On Friday, the California Department of Justice released emergency regulations related to the state’s overhaul of the CCW program as outlined in Senate Bill 2. This bill, signed earlier this year, is scheduled to take effect on January 1st, 2024. Notably, the regulations now exclude NRA Certified Instructors from being eligible to teach qualifying concealed carry classes in the state moving forward.
