A group of would-be thieves in California was stopped in their track when confronted by an armed store employee.
You know that that is called? One word: Equalizer.
In the hands of a citizen, a gun is an equalizer. In a world with no guns, the citizen is still just a victim. Criminals don’t need guns to effectively commit crime; they just need a disparity of force.
This can mean them using a knife, a bat, or in this case, multiple individuals with a sledgehammer. If the citizen doesn’t have a gun, there would be nothing the citizens can do to stop them from killing, stealing, maiming, or robbing.
But when that citizen has a gun, things become equal real quick, and in this case, it gave the citizen a huge advantage.
For the longest time, criminals in California have had a free-for-all because no one was carrying. I believe things are going to change because when it’s all said and done, the only person responsible for your safety is you!
